As a Red-shirt Sophomore in 2007: Shannon played in 17 matches and started 12 times... Also set a career-high with five shot attempts... Was scoreless on the year... Put a single shot on-goal for the third-straight season.
As a Sophomore in 2006: Shannon played in only five matches in 2006 due to injury and received a medical red-shirt... Started four of her five outings... Attempted only two shots from her outside defender position and was scoreless.
As a Freshman in 2005: Shannon played in only five games off the bench for the Wildcats... Was scoreless on only a single shot... Provided the Wildcats with some solid play off the bench in WSU’s upset win over Brigham Young in the first round of the NCAA College Cup on Nov. 10, allowing the defensive starters crucial rest as the game stretched out through 120 minutes of regulation and overtime play.
During her Prep career: Shannon is a 2005 graduate of Bountiful High School in Bountiful, Utah, where she was a four-year letterwinner in soccer... Was a member of the 2003 4A State championship soccer team... Played in the Dixie State College All-Star Team High School Tournament in 2003 and 2004... Was named First Team All-State by the Salt Lake Tribune and Second Team All-State by the Deseret News in 2003 and First Team All-State by both publications in 2004... Entered Weber State with a 3.84 High School GPA.
Personal: Formerly Shannon Murri; is married to Brian Thompson... Is the daughter of Ken and Becky Murri... Is the third of four children... Has one sister, Michelle (27), and two brothers, Justin (25) and Jason (19)... Is majoring in Accounting.
