Anne Morton begins her first year as a graduate assistant with the Weber State softball team.  Morton joined the Wildcats after spending the last two years working in Corpus Christi, Texas.

"Anne will be a great asset to our coaching staff," said WSU head coach Tina Johnson.  "She has a great eye for pitching mechanics and knows how to address the mechanical mishaps most pitchers encounter.  Anne's ability to throw live batting practice is an extra benefit to all our players."  

Morton, an Athens, Texas native is pursuing a master's degree in Athletic Training. She is expected to graduate in August of 2011.

A graduate of McAllen High School in McAllen, Texas, Morton was a letterwinner in softball and basketball. She was a two-time MVP for softball, a three-time all-district honoree and an all-area performer.

Morton received her bachelor’s degree from University of North Texas in May 2007 where she worked as a student athletic trainer for a variety of sports and was a pitcher and letterwinner for the Mean Green softball team.
