Weber State softball and head coach Kristin Delahoussaye are excited to announce the hiring of Lauren Hoe as an assistant coach.

We are excited to welcome Lauren back to Weber State softball as our new assistant coach, said Delahoussaye. She built a reputation for herself as a player here and has since added some coaching experience to her resume. She will help us continue to elevate our program on and off the field.

Hoe was a standout player at Weber State from 2019 to 2023. During her career, she was a key contributor to the Wildcats 2019, 2021 and 2022 Big Sky regular season championship teams, as well as the 2022 Big Sky Tournament championship team. Hoe helped lead the Wildcats to two NCAA Regional appearances, including being part of the first team in Weber State and Big Sky history to win an NCAA Regional game in 2019. As a Wildcat, Hoe earned numerous accolades. She was named 2019 All-Big Sky Conference Honorable Mention – Catcher, 2021 All-Big Sky Conference First Team – Catcher, 2021 Big Sky Conference Player of the Year and 2022 All-Big Sky Conference Second Team – Catcher. A four-time all-conference selection, Hoe left her mark in the Weber State record books, ranking in the program's top ten career lists for multiple offensive categories, including home runs, slugging percentage, on-base percentage, runs scored and doubles.

In May 2023, Hoe became the first-ever Wildcat to sign a professional softball contract, joining the Bonn Capitals in Germany. While with the Bonn Capitals, she competed in the European Championships in Saronno, Italy, where her team took bronze.

Most recently, Hoe served as the head softball coach at Jackson Hole High School during its inaugural season.

I am grateful for Coach House, our administration and the Wildcat family for the opportunity to give back to the place that gave so much to me, said Hoe. Weber has always had a special place in mine and my family's hearts. I am excited to be a part of the tradition of excellence that Coach House and this staff have carried on. It feels like I'm coming home. Go 'Cats!
