Wildcats drop game to Lady Griz

POCATELLO, Idaho - Weber State softball dropped an 8-3 decision to Montana this Tuesday morning in the first game of the Big Sky Tournament.Â
The Lady Griz kicked off tournament action by taking an early lead with a two-RBI home run to left field.Â
Weber State responded in the top of the fourth inning when Sadie Kirk crossed home plate following a sacrifice fly to center field by Taegan Smith.
However, Montana extended their advantage to 7-1 after recording four additional home runs.Â
Kirk later broke the scoring streak with a home run of her own to left field. But the final margin was set at 8-2 after the Lady Griz's Cockhill connected for her third home run of the contest to close out the game 8-3.
