A 2006 graduate of San Diego, Mason was a four-year letterwinner for the Toreros and was named the USD Offensive Player of the Year in 2003, 2004 and 2006. After graduation, Mason became a graduate assistant coach at Georgia Southern University, earning her master’s degree in Political Science in 2008. While at GSU, she worked with pitchers, catchers and outfielders with 10 of her players earning all-conference honors. The Eagles’ Robyne Saliga was named the 2008 Southern Conference Player of the Year under the guidance of Mason this past season.
Over the past four years, Mason has been involved with Competitive Edge International, an interdenominational Christian sports ministry. After working as an assistant coach and competing as a player in international competitions in Southeast Asia, she made the trip in the winter of '08-'09 as a head coach. During the trip, her team held clinics with a developing national softball team.
