Chevez started playing soccer in his younger years in Peru, at about 8 years of age he was scouted by Alianza Lima (biggest soccer club in Peru) where he played in their academy winning many national championships and many tournaments in other countries. He traveled the world as a youth and as professional playing soccer.

Playing for Alianza Lima, he was called to the U16 Peruvian National Team at the age of 14, U18 Peruvian National team at the age of 16 and the U20 Peruvian National team at the age of 18, with the national team he was captain in the World Cup qualification tournaments. He played with the Adult Peruvian National team several times throughout that time. 

Aliianza Lima sold his player transfer to Pae Aris in Greece for $1,000’000. He played with Pae Aris in the 1998 and 1999 seasons and then went back to Alianza Lima in 2000 being the highest paid player on the team. After that he played 6 months for Widad in Morocco, after Morocco he went back to Peru and played in Coopsol, Estudiantes and Union Minas.

During his professional career he played many Copa Libertadores de America, and also won a qualification to the UEFA cup with Pae Aris.
In 2003, he moved to Utah and started his coaching education and he also started training teams at Utah Football Club in Bountiful, after UFC, he coached with Advantage FC, then in 2005, he started coaching with La Roca FC until the present.

He also works as the Boys Director of Coaching for La Roca FC. He coached for many years in the Utah Olympic Development Program. Chevez was the first coach in Utah to bring a National Championship Trophy to the state. He also accomplished many other goals like multiple state cup titles, Regionals Runner Up and many club Tournaments Titles.

During Chevez’s coaching years he trained and developed many players to play at the College and professional levels, both boys and girls.As a coach he shares his passion and love for this beautiful game with his players. He teaches players to work as a team, to be disciplined and to work hard to accomplish their goals on and off the field.
