In her first year as head coach of the Wildcats, Kristin Delahoussaye led the team to a 29-32 record along with the program’s fifth Big Sky Tournament title and second NCAA Tournament win. Under her direction, she coached a Big Sky Co-Freshman of the Year and Big Sky Tournament MVP.
Delahoussaye was named the Weber State softball head coach in June of 2024. Delahoussaye joined WSU as an assistant coach in the summer of 2017. The 2024 season has marked her seventh year with the Wildcats and she has now accumulated 10 years of coaching experience at the Division I level.
During her tenure at Weber State, Delahoussaye has been vital in the recruitment and development of players on six different championship teams.
In 2022, "Coach House" helped oversee the pitching, hitting, and recruiting of what was the best team in Big Sky Conference history. The '22 Wildcats tied a school record for most wins in a season (38) and head coach Mary Kay Amicone was the unanimous selection for Big Sky Conference Coach of the Year. The Wildcats won the regular season Big Sky Conference Championship, and had a historic run through conference tournament play in which WSU didn't surrender a single run and won all three games in run-rule fashion. The 2022 Weber State team was the first squad in Big Sky history to receive a three seed in the NCAA regionals.
In April 2020, she was promoted to Associate Head Coach under Mary Kay Amicone.
At BYU, her primary responsibility was working with the Cougars’ outfielders, and the team never had a fielding percentage below .955.
She coached three All-Americans, 12 NFCA All-Region players, five conference Players of the Year, three conference Freshmen of the Year, and two conference Defensive Players of the Year.
Prior to becoming an assistant at BYU, Delahoussaye spent a season at Dixie State in 2013 as an assistant softball coach and strength coordinator for the Trailblazers.
Delahoussaye was a four-year starter at second base for the Cougars from 2008-2011, earning First Team All-Conference and All-Region honors three times. She finished her career ranked in the top 10 in 11 different career categories for the Cougars. She was also a starter and key contributor on BYU's first and only team to make it to the NCAA Super Regional.
Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada Delahoussaye graduated from BYU in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise and wellness, and graduated in 2022 from Southern New Hampshire University with a masters degree in sports management and a certificate in athletic administration.
