WSU Falls to Vandals 6-1

SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Weber State women's tennis team ended a three-match road swing to Washington on Sunday with a 6-1 loss to the University of Idaho.
The Wildcats dropped all three doubles matches to lose the opening point and then were able to claim only one singles match. Ashley Schapper won the lone point for WSU with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Yvette Ly at the No. 3 singles position.
Keya Adamson jumped ahead in her match at No. 5 with a 6-3 win in the opening set, but dropped the next two, falling 7-5 in the second and 10-6 in a super-set third.
The Wildcats will play a pair of matches this weekend at home, as they are set to face Cal-State Bakersfield on Friday at Noon and Dixie State College on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Both matches will be held at the Ogden Athletic Club.
