Wildcats Swept by Montana State

OGDEN, Utah -- The Weber State women's tennis team fell to 7-15 overall and 1-6 in the Big Sky with a 7-0 loss to Montana State (10-5; 5-2) on Thursday at Edman Courts.
The Wildcats managed only a single win, which came at the No. 1 doubles position. Ashley Schapper and Inalise Pienaar teamed to defeat Allison Fey and Ali Griffin 8-5. Montana State took the other two doubles matches for the opening point and then ran through the singles, winning all but one match in straight-sets.
Greyce Farias was the lone Wildcat to push to a third set, as she fell 6-3, 4-6, 10-4 to Griffin in the No. 4 singles position.
The Wildcats have one match remaining on the 2008 schedule. They will face Montana on Saturday, April 19 in Ogden. The match with the Grizzlies is scheduled for Noon at Edman Courts.
