Home Court Doesn't Hold Up As Weber State Falls To Montana State 75-70

OGDEN, Utah (AP) -Bobby Howard scored 20 points and Eric Rush added 14 to lead Montana State to a 75-70 win over Weber State on Thursday night.
Danny Piepoli and Divaldo Mbunga finished with 12 points apiece for the Bobcats (10-6, 3-2 Big Sky).
MSU began to pull away late in the second half when Mbunga scored back-to-back baskets for a 64-58 lead with 3:46 remaining. But the Wildcats' Kyle Bullinger hit a 3-pointer with 1:08 remaining to spark a 10-0 run that narrowed the lead to 72-70 with 41 seconds left. Rush made two free throws with 18 seconds left and Branden Johnson made one with 4 seconds remaining to seal the win for MSU.
Kellen McCoy led the Wildcats (9-8, 3-1) with 21 points, and Bullinger finished with 11 points.
NOTES. ... The loss snaps a three-game win streak in Big Sky Conference play by Weber State. WSU was the last undefeated team in league play this season. ... It marked the first time this season the Wildcats have scored 70 points AND LOST. They are now 7-1 in those games. ... It was just the THIRD HOME COURT LOSS in Big Sky play for WSU Head Coach Randy Rahe. He is now 18-3 at home vs. the Big Sky and 29-7 overall. ... WSU guard Kellen McCoy now has back-to-back 21 point scoring games.
