Rams Defeat Weber State 5-2

OGDEN, Utah -- The Weber State women's tennis team (3-13) dropped five of six singles matches after claiming the doubles point in a 5-2 loss to Colorado State (5-8) on Saturday at the Ogden Athletic Club.
"I was really impressed with our performance in doubles today," said WSU head coach Jonas Ehrlin. "Colorado State is a good team and we were just a couple of close singles matches away from winning today."
The Wildcats won at the No. 2 and 3 doubles spots to take the first point of the match. Keya Jenkins and Greyce Farias defeated Tori Arneson and Kirsten Stople 8-4 at No. 2, while Elsje Beneke and Karlie Hancock defeated Greer Satherlie and Lauren Mulhern 8-4 at No. 3.
In singles play, Hancock improved her record to 4-0 over the last two days with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Stople to earn the lone singles point for WSU. Hancock also won in doubles and singles on Friday in a 4-3 win over Portland State.
The Wildcats will take on Wyoming in their third match in-as-many days on Sunday beginning at 10:00 a.m.
