Wildcats Fall to Bobcats 5-2

BOZEMAN, Mont. -- Montana State (10-8 overall; 6-1 Big Sky) seized the doubles point and the top four singles points to earn a 5-2 win over the Weber State women's tennis team (5-16; 2-4) on Friday.
Karlie Hancock and Elsje Beneke pulled out a 9-7 win at No. doubles, but the Bobcats won at both No. 1 and 2 to claim the doubles point and the early lead.
In singles, Hancock and Beneke each won again, with Hancock downing McKenzie Hilmer 6-7, 6-3, 10-7 at No.5 and Beneke beating Lisa Clark 6-3, 2-6, 12-10 at No. 6. The Bobcats took the top four singles matches each in straight sets to clinch the match.
Weber State will remain in Bozeman to face the University of Montana on Saturday.
