'Cats Sweep Bengals in Pocatello

POCATELLO, Idaho -- The Weber State women's tennis team improved to 5-15 overall and 2-3 in the Big Sky Conference on Thursday with a 7-0 sweep of rival Idaho State (0-14; 0-6) at Reed Gymnasium.
The Wildcats took two of three doubles matches for the opening point. Brittiny Moore and Caroline Drugge defeated Lisel Lewis and Stephanie Roldan 8-2 at No. 1, while the No. 3 match went to WSU by default.
In singles, Greyce Farias, Drugge, Moore, and Karlie Hancock each won in straight sets, while Keya Kenkins pulled out a 2-6, 6-2, 10-4 come-from-behind three-sets win over Lewis at No. 1 singles. Farias defeated Sophie Dang 6-3, 6-4 at No. 2, Drugge rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 win over Roldan at No. 3, Brittiny Moore downed Risa Fujiwara 6-1, 6-1 and Hancock dominated Kelli Ogborn 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5.
The Wildcats will be off for a week, and then will travel to Bozeman, Mont. for a three-match road swing that will wrap up the 2009 regular season.
