LUBBOCK, Texas -- The Weber State women's soccer team (4-1) dropped its second-straight contest on Friday as Texas Christian (5-3) scored twice in the final 18 minutes to claim a 2-1 win in the opening match of the Texas Tech-hosted Red Raider Classic.

For the second-straight match, the Wildcats took the early lead, only to see it slip away. Against the Frogs, Collette Simmons gave WSU a 1-0 lead as she notched her first goal of the season. Simmons connected on a Nicole Moore pass and beat TCU goalkeeper Kelsey Walters in the 25th minute.

TCU pressured the Wildcats as they looked for the equalizer and wound up out-shooting Weber State 22-7 for the match and 21-1 in the second half.

Rebecca Ritchie turned in several huge saves to keep the Wildcats in the lead, but eventually the Frogs broke through as Jordan Calhoun netted a ball from the left side of the box in the 72nd minute.

In the 85th minute, TCU's Leigha Leonard scored from deep in the Wildcat box for the game-winner on an assist from Calhoun.

Ritchie finished the match with eight saves in goal for the Wildcats. She has now notched four-straight matches with at least eight stops.

The Wildcats will finish off their pair of matches at the tournament as they take on the host Red Raiders on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. MDT.
