WSU Falls to Cal Poly

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- Cal Poly scored a pair of goals in the first half and added another pair over the final 45 minutes to take a 4-0 decision against the Weber State women's soccer team on Sunday afternoon at Alex G. Spanos stadium.
The Mustangs got on the board in the 20th minute, as Bianca Burright broke free on the left side to score past WSU goalkeeper Alyson Hansen. The goal was the third tally of the season for Burright.
Burright added a pair of assists in the second half, teaming up with Cristina Farrington on a double assist as Haley Walker tallied in the 75th minute, and hooking up with Lauren Miller in the 88th minute.
The Mustangs outshot the Wildcats 15 to 6 on the day, and scored on four of their six shots on-goal.
Weber State dropped to 0-9 with the loss, while Cal Poly improved to an even 4-4 on the year.
Next weekend, the Wildcats will head out to Colorado Springs, Colo. to play a pair of matches at the Air Force Academy. WSU will face both Air Force and UNLV.
