AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- Macy Jo Harrison's header in the 22nd minute provided all the scoring that UNLV would need as it downed the Weber State women's soccer team 1-0 at the Falcon Invitational on Sunday.
The game was a defensive and midfield battle with the two teams combining for only 17 shots and seven shots on-goal. The Rebels got off 10 of the 17 shots, and posted a just a 4-3 edge in the first half, but broke through when Ashleigh Shoughro found Harrison for the game winner.
Ryann Waldman turned away four of the Rebels' five shots on-goal, while UNLV keeper Kylie Wassell turned away the lone two Wildcat shots on-frame for the clean sheet.
WSU falls to 1-10 on the season, while the Rebels improved to 8-3. The Wildcats placed three players on the All-Tournament team, with Ari Wood, Sarah Mager and Waldman earning honors.
