SPOKANE, Wash. - An early goal proved to be the difference that the Wildcats couldn't overcome.

Gonzaga's Emma Dolcetti scored in the fourth minute of action, lifting the Bulldogs to a 1-0 victory over the Weber State University women's soccer team on Friday afternoon at Gonzaga Soccer Field.

The loss drops the Wildcats to 1-2-0 on the season, while the Bulldogs improve to 3-2-0.
Cricket Harber fed the ball to Dolcetti, who beat Wildcat goalkeeper Kirsten Anderson from the edge of the 18 as she tried to come out to get the ball.

Weber State finished with nine shots, including three by freshman Mackenzie Day. The Wildcats placed four on frame. Gonzaga had 14 shots, but just six of those were on frame.

WSU will remain on the road through Sunday, when the Wildcats travel to Pullman, Wash., to face Washington State at Noon at Lower Soccer Field.
