'Cats Take 8th at Jackrabbit Invitational

PRIMM, Nev. -- Weber State shot a three-round total of 886 to finish eighth at the Jackrabbit Invitational, hosted by South Dakota State at Primm Valley Golf Club.
The Wildcats opened the tournament with rounds of 291 and 293 on Monday, and closed with a 302, dropping one spot on the leaderboard over the final 18-holes.
Jordan Herzog led the 'Cats, shooting rounds of 70, 71 and 75 for an even-par total of 216 and a tie for 11th in the individual standings. Jeff Jones joined Herzog in the top-20 with a two-over-par 218, tying for 18th after rounds of 72, 70 and 76.
The University of Idaho won the team title, outdueling Missouri-Kansas City by four strokes. The Vandals shot 15-under as a team. Missouri-Kansas City's Korbin Kuehn took home the individual medalist honors, shooting an 11-under-par total of 205. Sean McMullen of Idaho finished second at 207.
Ty Travis (T-40th, 225), Alex Sutton (T-47th, 227) and Michael Johnson (T73rd, 234) filled out the Wildcat lineup for the tournament.
