SARAH CALLISTER (Jr.-Ogden, Utah / Ogden HS) and MIKE HARDY (So.-Mountain Green, Utah / Morgan HS) have each been named the BIG SKY CONFERENCE RUNNER OF THE WEEK.
Callister set a new Big Sky Conference and Weber State record in the women's 10,000 meter run. She posted a time of 32:51.17 at the Stanford Invitational on Friday, April 6. She broke the Big Sky record by more than 16 second, and is 25 seconds faster than the Weber State record held by USA Olympian, Lindsey Anderson. Her time is currently the fifth best in the Nation and also qualifies her for the USA Olympic Trials this summer.
Hardy won his section of the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the Stanford Invitational last Friday night, running a career best 8:56.98. It qualifies him for the NCAA first round meet in late May. It was just his second career race in the event.
