OREM, Utah - Behind another double-digit hitting performance at the plate, the Weber State University softball team stepped into sole possession of first place in the Pacific Coast Softball Conference's Mountain Division.
Senior right-hander Sarah Clark went 3-for-3 at the plate, and captured her single-season record-tying 16th win on the mound, as the Wildcats knocked off Utah Valley 8-1 in the opening joust of a four-game Pacific Coast series at Wolverine Field, moving one-half game ahead of idle Portland State in the division standings.
