PORTLAND, Ore. - The Wildcats' record-breaking 2012 season came to a close on Sunday afternoon with a pair of tough setbacks.

Weber State fell 6-1 in the opening game of the day, and then dropped a 4-2 decision in the series finale against Portland State at Erv Lind Stadium.

The Wildcats wrap up their season at 10-10 in Pacific Coast play, finishing tied for second place in the Mountain Division after being picked sixth in the preseason polls, and 21-32 overall. The 21 wins marks a nine-win improvement over 2011, and a 19-win improvement over 2010, which was the programs first after being restarted.

Sunday's games were the final in a Purple and White uniform for seniors Sarah Clark, Erika James-Dixon, Kami Johnson-Holley, Lyndsey Minnich and Symbree Minniear. The quintet leave Weber State having literally re-written the Wildcats' record books, combining to set more than a dozen single-season and career records, including Dixon's Pacific Coast career record 60 stolen bases in just two seasons.

The Wildcats managed eight hits on Sunday, with Clark, Minniear, Brooke Silva and London Clarke each getting two hits. Dixon had her 25th stolen base of the season during the second game, giving her the top two single-season spots in Weber State history.

Portland State (15-5, 25-23), which won the divisional title with a pair of 2-0 wins on Saturday, and will take on Coastal Division winner St. Mary's, Calif., in the PCSC title series on May 11-12 in Moraga, Calif.
