CHICAGO, Ill. -- Weber State's Jordan Herzog was named to the All-America Sky Golf Conference Second Team on Wednesday as the league released its all-conference teams and awards.
Herzog recently led the Wildcats to a seventh-place finish at the conference championship tournament, posting his highest finish of the year with a ninth-place result. He recorded five top-20 finishes on the season, including three out of five tournaments this spring.
His 74.1 scoring average led the team, and he posted a team-high 11 rounds of par or better on the season. He recorded a season-best 69 on two occasions, in the Boise State Dash Memorial in September, and at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic in March.
Herzog, a sophomore, opened his season just two weeks removed from an LDS Church mission, and recorded a 16th-place finish, helping the Wildcats to a third-place finish at WSU's Battle in the Tetons tournament.
Utah Valley's Mason Casper was named the league's Athlete of the Year. All-Conference awards and selections are based on a combination of collegiate rankings from Golf Stat and Golf Week magazine.
