"We made some adjustments in the second half and took care of the ball and did a much better job of executing our offense," said WSU head coach Randy Rahe. "We got some stops on the defensive end and had had several players get going in the second half. It was as good team effort with everyone contributing."
Weber State shot 55.8 percent from the field and held Idaho State to 39 percent shooting. The Wildcats also outrebounded Idaho State 33-20. WSU improved to 11-0 when outshooting its opponent and 10-0 when leading in rebounding the opponent.
All of Bamforth's 17 points came in the second half as he finished the game 5-9 from the field, including 3-6 from three-point range. "We came out more aggressive in the second half and took better care of the ball," Bamforth said. "We ran our offense better and were able to get the shots to drop."
Bamforth also became the 27th player in WSU history to reach 1,000 career points.
The Wildcats have now won 10 of their last 11 games and will return home for two home games this week, beginning Thursday against Northern Arizona.
