Wildcat soccer draws Broncos 0-0 in Boise

BOISE, Idaho – Another match, another overtime.
The Weber State University women's soccer team played its third consecutive double-overtime match on Friday evening, drawing Boise State 0-0 at the Boas Soccer Complex in Boise, Idaho.
It's the first time in Weber State's 18-year history that it has played three straight double-overtime matches, and just the second time the Wildcats have ever had three straight contests go into extra time.
Senior goalkeeper Ryann Waldman went all 110 minutes, earning her second shutout of the season – 15th overall of her career – and lowered her Goals-Against Average to .44.
Boise State finished the match outshooting the Wildcats 12-8, but Weber State held the advantage in shots on goal by a 3-2 margin.
WSU outshot the Broncos 5-2 in the opening frame, with BSU gaining more traction in the second half with 10 shots. The Wildcats took the only two shots over the overtime periods.
Sophomore central midfielder Chansi Crompton had three shots to lead the way, while sophomore forward Mackenzie Harrison had two.
Weber State moved to 2-0-2 on the season, remaining unbeaten through four matches, and extending its overall unbeaten streak to seven straight dating back to last season.
The Wildcats will remain in Boise through Sunday, when they will take on Washington State (3-0-1) at Noon. The Cougars are coming off their own 0-0 draw with the Broncos on Thursday night.
