Flint earns fifth Big Sky weekly pitching honor

OGDEN, Utah – After helping the Wildcats to a pair of wins last week, junior right-hander MaCauley Flint has been named as the Big Sky Conference's co-Pitcher of the Week.
It is the fifth time this season Flint has been honored with the weekly pitching award.
Flint, a junior right-hander from Roy, Utah, was 1-0 with a save last week as she posted a 1.47 ERA in 14.1 innings pitched across four appearances last week. Flint appeared in all four of the Wildcats' games during the week, allowing just eight hits and three earned runs against eight strikeouts.
Against BYU, Flint worked 2.0 innings, allowing just three hits and one earned run, with a strikeout.
In the first game against Portland State, she earned the win – her 10th of the year, going 6.0 innings with just two hits allowed and five strikeouts.
In the second game against the Vikings, Flint earned her third save, pitching the final inning to preserve a 4-3 victory, and ending the game with a strikeout.
In the series finale against Portland State, Flint pitched 5.1 innings in relief, allowing just three hits and one earned run with a strikeout.
For the season, Flint went 10-8 in the circled and posted a 2.43 ERA in 33 appearances. She pitched 138.1 total innings with just 93 hits and 48 earned runs allowed against 146 strikeouts, which is the second most strikeouts in a single season in Weber State history.
