Four Wildcats receive All-Conference honors

OGDEN - The Big Sky Conference announced the softball individual awards and all-conference teams on Thursday afternoon. Among those receiving all-conference team honors were four Wildcats. 

Jordan McMahon, a sophomore from Phoenix, Arizona, earned second-team outfield honors. This season, McMahon surpassed 100 career hits. She also led the team with a .399 batting average, 73 hits and five doubles. In the Big Sky, McMahon was ranked first in hits and triples and fourth in batting average.

Apollonia Maldonado, a sophomore from Antioch, California, earned honorable mention first base honors. Maldonado led the team with a .591 slugging percentage, 42 RBI, seven doubles and eight home runs. In the conference, Maldonado ranked fourth in RBI and fielding percentage and fifth in caught stealing by. 

Sadie Kirk, a sophomore from Litchfield, Arizona, earned honorable mention second base honors. Kirk finished the regular season with a .368 batting average, 43 hits, 14 doubles and 16 RBI. She also recorded a .951 fielding percentage with 45 putouts and 33 assists. 

Jordan Hart, a sophomore from Surprise, Arizona, earned honorable mention catcher honors. Hart ended the regular season with a .279 batting average, 24 hits and five RBI. Hart also posted a .970 fielding percentage with 82 putouts and 15 assists. 

The Wildcats will face No. four-seeded Montana on May 4 at 9 a.m.
