LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The Wildcats hit a three for three.

Riding a pair of rapid-succession first half goals, the Weber State University women's soccer team stormed to its third consecutive win, knocking off New Mexico State 3-1 on Friday afternoon.

Adding another three to the mix was senior forward Stacy Bair, who became the first Wildcat player in 10 years to notch three assists in the same match.

Weber State senior forward Mackenzie Harrison broke a scoreless tie in the 27th minute, latching onto a quick pass from freshman midfielder Madison Garlock after the initial play-in from Bair. The goal was Harrison's first of the season and the 18th of her career, moving her into fifth-place all-time in Weber State's career goal scoring charts.

The Wildcats wasted no time in doubling that advantage, as Garlock scored her second career goal just 74 seconds later, with junior midfielder Chansi Crompton playing the ball into Bair who redirected it with her head to Garlock for the 10-yard blast inside the box. The assist was Crompton's second of the season and 16th of her career, moving her into third place in Weber State's career assist charts.

Weber State was just inches from making it 3-0 a mere 90 seconds later, but an open net shot inside the six-yard box snaked just wide.

New Mexico State (0-5-0) clawed back into the contest just a few minutes later, cutting deficit to 2-1 and snapping Weber State's 220+ minute shutout streak.

The Wildcats continued to dominate play in the second half, narrowly missing out on several quality chances before Crompton killed off the match in the 84th minute, taking a pass in from Bair and then blasting it off the Aggies' goalkeeper and into the net for the final scoreline.

Weber State will be back in action on Sunday morning against UTEP. Kickoff at University Field is set for 11 a.m. The Miners are 2-3-0 after falling 3-2 to Lamar on Friday night in El Paso, Texas.
