Idaho State takes down Weber State 5-2

POCATELLO, Idaho  – Weber State women's tennis dropped a non-conference match up to Idaho State 2-5 Tuesday afternoon.Â
"That was an extremely disappointing match," Director of Tennis Brad Ferreira said. "Idaho State played very smart and we played like we didn't want to lose and that's not a recipe for good tennis. Hats off to Idaho State for playing smart consistent tennis."
Idaho State claimed the doubles point by picking up victories in the No. 1 and No. 3 spots. Kristi Elmer and Morgan Dickason did win their doubles match by defeating Laura Theus and Svenja Tegtmeier in the No. 2 with a 6-3.
In the singles competition, Agata Bachanek played good tough tennis by defeating Kasey Bacon 6-0, 6-2 in the No. 1 spot.Â
Kristi Elmer fought back from behind to defeat Tegtmeier with scores of 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 in the No. 2 spot.Â
The Wildcats now drop to 0-5 on the season and will next take on the University of Utah Feb. 13 before hosting it's first home match of the season against Iowa State.Â
