UNLV downs Weber State 4-0

LAS VEGAS -Weber State's men's tennis team conitnued its Las Vegas weekend by taking on UNLV. The Rebels downed the Wildcats 4-0.
In doubles competition Sanjay Goswami and partner Stefan Cooper picked up a solid win in the No. 1 spot. The Wildcats took down Jakob Amilon and Ruben Alberts 6-4. UNLV went on to win the No. 2 and No. 3 spots in doubles giving the doubles point to the Rebels.
In singles competition, the No. 2, No. 4, and No.5 competitions did not finish. Jakub Gewert fell to Amilon 6-2, 6-1 in the No. 1 spot. In the No. 3 spot Stefan Cooper fell to Alberts 6-2, 6-2. Scott Hintze put up a great effort in the No. 6 spot but couldn't pull out a victory and fell 6-4, 6-3.
Weber State is now 1-3 on the season and will take on New Mexico State Sunday, Feb. 7 before hosting Montana State for the Big Sky and home opener of the season.
