Wildcats sweep Southern Utah 7-0

OGDEN - Weber State women's tennis team made a clean 7-0 sweep of Southern Utah giving them their sixth Big Sky Conference win.
"The ladies played great today and played solid tennis from start to finish," assistant coach Mark Roberts said. "This was a good weekend of matches and we look forward to working hard the remainder of the season."
In doubles play, Sara Parker and Krisit Elmer took down Veronika Rogova and Laura Martin-Lozano 6-2 in the No. 1 spot.
Agata Bachanek and Devi Hasan played the No. 2 spot and defeated Evgenia Marushko 6-4. For the doubles swep Dominique Beauvais and Morgan Dickason defeated Emily Lemmon and Charity Sagiao 6-1 in the No. 3 spot.
In today's singles competition all of the Wildcats played great tennis. In the No. 2 spot Kristi Elmer broke a three match losing streak by defeating Marushko 6-1, 6-2.
In the No. 3 spot Sara Parker defeated Teresa De Enrique Schmidt 6-4, 6-2 while Beauvais took down Lemmon 6-0, 6-1.
Hasan continued her strong tennis play by defeating Martin-Lozana 6-1, 6-2 in the No. 5 spot. Dickason beat Sagiao in a tie breaker set with scores of 6-3, 3-6 (10-6) at the No. 6 spot.
To finish the day and make a clean sweep of the Thunderbirds, Bachanek took down Rogova in three sets with scores of 6-7 (2), 6-2, 10-7.
Weber State is now 6-1 in big Sky Conference play and 7-10 overall on the season. Weber State will next host Northern Arizona on Sunday, April 3.
