Weber State falls 5-2 to Santa Clara

OGDEN - Weber State University's women's tennis team fell 5-2 to Santa Clara in the first outdoor home match of the season.Â
"Santa Clara is a strong team," Director of Tennis Brad Ferreira said. "For our first match ouside the girls competed very well."
Santa Clara started the day off picking up the doubles point with wins in the number one and two spots.Â
In singles play Morgan Dickason was the first to finish her match defeating Elizabeth Stephens 6-0, 6-0.Â
After the Broncos picked up three more wins Weber State's Kristi Elmer defeated Chelby Cooke in a tie breaker 5-7, 7-5, 10-7. The day ended with another Wildcat loss in the No. 1 spot giving Santa Clara the 5-2 win.
The Wildcats are now 7-12 overall on the season and wil take on Idaho State Tuesday, April 12.Â
