OGDEN – The Wildcats got the job done.

Sophomore midfielder Madison Garlock scored in the seventh minute and junior goalkeeper Sydnie Brough earned her third shutout of the season in goal as the Weber State University women's soccer team dropped North Dakota 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at Wildcat Soccer Field.

Weber State improved to 1-1-0 in Big Sky Conference action, 3-5-1 overall, and improved to 6-0 all-time against the Fighting Hawks, who fell to 0-1-0 Big Sky, 1-6-2 overall.

The Wildcats wasted no time seizing control of the match when Garlock fired a 30-yard rocket in traffic to put the Purple and White in front 1-0.

Weber State dominated play for huge chunks of the match, holding North Dakota without a shot on goal for the first 85 minutes. The Wildcats outshot the Fighting Hawks 14-5, with three of UND's opportunities – including both shots on goal – coming in the five minutes.

Sophomore midfielder Sydney Seamons scored her first career goal on a cross from Garlock in the 87th minute after the Wildcats quickly switched the field following a North Dakota corner kick, giving Weber State the 2-0 advantage.

Weber State will return to action on Friday when it hosts Northern Arizona at 3:30 p.m. to wrap up a three-match homestand.
