Weber State picks up 80-64 win over Sacramento State

OGDEN – Jerrick Harding had 29 points and Brekkott Chapman added a double-double as Weber State got back on the winning track with an 80-64 win over Sacramento State Thursday night at the Dee Events Center.
The Wildcats knocked down 10 first half 3-pointers but only led the Hornets by one point at halftime. Sacramento State took the lead early in the second half before Weber State 16-5 run over the next seven minutes to take a nine point lead.
The Hornets cut the lead to three with 5:20 to play but Weber State responded with an 11-2 run and never looked back.
Weber State made 13 3-pointers in the win, finishing 13 of 23 from 3-point range. The 'Cats shot 49 percent from the field and outrebounded the Hornets 38-30.
Harding led the Wildcats in scoring for the 11th straight game as he finished with 29 points with five 3-pointers.
Chapman had one of his best games as a Wildcat as he posted his first double-double of the season, with 17 points and grabbed a season-high 13 rebounds. He was 6 of 10 from the field and also knocked down two 3-pointers.
Senior Ryan Richardson knocked down four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points with three rebounds and three assists.
The Wildcats improve to 11-7 overall and 4-2 in Big Sky play. Weber State will be right back home Saturday night to host Portland State at 7 p.m. at the Dee Events Center.
