Weber State to host FIELD TRIP DAY Thursday against SUU

TIP OFF
• Weber State women's basketball continues its 2017-18 season with two home games. The annual field trip day is Thursday, Feb. 1 at Noon against Southern Utah. Saturday, Feb. 3 the Wildcats will host Northern Arizona at 2:00 p.m.

ON THE HORIZON
• Weber State has just two road trips left before heading off to the Big Sky Conference tournament in Reno, Nev. The first is at North Dakota Feb. 8 and Northern Colorado Feb. 10.
• The Wildcats will have four of the final six games at home starting with Portland State Feb. 15 and Sacramento State Feb. 17.

WHAT'S GOOD?
• Weber State has an impressive 14-5 record and is sitting at No. 2 in the Big Sky Standings with a 6-2 record.

• Weber State is currently top 30 in the nation in four different areas and broke into the top 10 in 3FG average.  
•  No. 9 - 3FG per game -9.7
•  No. 23 - 3FG made -185
•  No. 30 - 3FG attempted -519
•  No. 14 - Fewest Turnovers - 254

• Weber State is currently No. 1 in the Big Sky Conference in total scoring offense with 1,425 total points on the year and averaging 75.0 per game.

• The Wildcats are also in the top three in the Big Sky in free throw percentage and field goal percentage and is No.4 in the conference in three point percentage.

• WSU has an impressive 9-1 record at home and are currently on an eight game win streak in the Dee Events Center.  The Wildcats have yet to lose a Big Sky Conference game at home.

NECESSARY NOTES
•  The Wildcats are currently 14-5 on the season and 6-2 in Big Sky action and are coming off a 84-73 win over Idaho State.
•  Head Coach Bethann Ord is in her seventh season leading the Wildcats and brought back her three assistant coaches Devan Newman, Matt Thune and Skyler Young.
•  Southern Utah is 3-17 on the season and are 2-7 in Big Sky play.
•  Southern Utah is currently on a four game losing streak.
•   This will be the 31st match up between Southern Utah and Weber State.
•   The Thunderbirds are lead by head coach Chris Boettcher who is in his 4th season.   
•  Northern Arizona is 4-16 on the season and are 1-7 in Big Sky play.
•  Northern Arizona is currently on a six game losing streak.
•   This will be the 81st match up between Northern Arizona and Weber State.
•   The Lumberjacks are lead by head coach Loree Payne who is in her first season.   

BROOKS' TOP 30 RANKINGS
Larryn Brooks has hit double figures in all but one game this year. Her performances have put her high in national rankings. She currently sits at No. 32 in points per game averaging 20.1. In the 3-pointer category, she is No. 13 in threes made with 69 total, No. 10 in threes per game with 3.63 and No. 17 in attempts with 176 on the season. She also is No. 22 in the country in free throw percentage averaging 86.9.

QUINN THE QUEEN OF THREES
Senior Kailie Quinn, drained five from beyond the arc in last week's game against Southern Utah. With those five made 3-pointers, Quinn broke the school record for career made three pointers. She now has 239 made 3-pointers in her career. The record was previously held by Chelsey Warburton who was a Wildcat from 2005-2007. Quinn also holds the record for most career threes attempted with 691 attempts.
