• Weber State kicks off its 57th season of Division I basketball as the Wildcats travel to take on the University of San Diego Tuesday night.
• Weber State is coming off a 20-11 overall record and a 13-6 record in Big Sky play last season. It was the third-straight 20 win season for the Wildcats.
• Weber State head coach Randy Rahe returns for his 13th season as head coach of the Wildcats. Rahe is the Weber State's and the Big Sky Conference's all-time leader in coaching victories with 248 career wins.
• The Wildcats lost two seniors off last year's team but return eight players that have played at Weber State.
• Weber State returns two seniors in Zach Braxton and Brekkott Chapman.
• Also back is junior guard Jerrick Harding who was a first-team All-Big Sky and All-District selection last year and has been named to the preseason All-Conference team this year.
• Weber State welcomes six new freshmen to this year's team.
• The Wildcats were picked to finish second in the Big Sky standings in the preseason polls.
• San Diego is coming off a 20-15 overall record last season and finished in sixth place in the West Coast Conference at 9-9.
• This is the fifth all-time meeting between the two schools with Weber State holding a 3-1 series advantage.
• This is the first game played in the series since 1994 and the first game in San Diego since 1992.
