Weber State won its ninth-straight game and head coach Randy Rahe made history as the Wildcats beat Sacramento State 83-73 Saturday night at the Nest in Sacramento.

With the win, coach Rahe won his 247th victory and became the Big Sky Conference's all-time leader in coaching wins. Rahe is now 247-134 in his 12 seasons at Weber State. He is also the Big Sky's all-time leader in conference wins with 153.
The ninth-straight win moved the Wildcats to 19-7 overall and 12-2 in Big Sky play. The 'Cats are now a half game behind Montana in the conference standings. With the win, the Wildcats also clinched a first round bye in the Big Sky Tournament.

In Saturday's game, the Wildcats never trailed en route to the win over the Hornets. The 'Cats led by three points with 4:00 left in the first half when they went on an 11-5 run to take a nine-point lead at halftime. Sacramento State was never closer than seven points in the second half.

Weber State shot 58 percent from the field and was 11 of 21 from 3-point range. WSU was also 8 of 9 from the free throw line and outrebounded the Hornets 34-23. The 23 rebounds is the fewest the Wildcats have allowed this season.

Sophomore Jerrick Harding led the Wildcats with 21 points. He knocked two 3-pointers and had three rebounds and two assists. Zach Braxton had 19 points on 8 of 12 shooting, and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.

Senior Ryan Richardson added 16 points with four 3-pointers.

The nine-game winning streak is Weber State's longest since winning 13-straight during the 2012-13 season.

Weber State has just four games left as the Wildcats will face four Big Sky teams they have not faced yet this season. The next three opponents are all in the top four, with Weber State, in the conference standings.

WSU will host Eastern Washington on Thursday and Idaho on Saturday, before finishing the regular season at Montana March 1 and at Montana State on March 3.
