Weber State falls 80-67 to North Dakota

A slow fourth quarter hurt Weber State women's basketball as they fell 80-67 to North Dakota Thursday evening.
Late in the first quarter, Weber State went on a 6-0 run that gave them an 18-10 lead. With one minute remaining in the first quarter WSU had taken a 10 point lead and ended the quarter with a 30-21 lead over UND.
The Fighting Hawks came back and went on a 12-2 run throughout the second quarter that ended up tying everything up 41-41 at half time.
The Wildcats found some footing in the third quarter and re-claimed a 10 point lead with two minutes left. UND manage five consecutive points in the final two minutes of third quarter action but Weber State still had a 64-59 lead going into the final quarter of play.
North Dakota dominated the fourth quarter and kept Weber State to just three points the entire final quarter of play. UND came away with the 80-67 victory.
Weber State was led by Larryn Brooks who dropped 30 points for the Wildcats. This was Brooks third time this season recording 30 or more points. Emily Drake was the only other Wildcat to score double figures as she recorded 16 on the night.
Jocelyn Adams had the game high of rebounds with seven total on the night.
Weber State shot 33 percent from the field, 36 percent from the three and 90 percent from the free throw line. WSU pulled down 29 rebounds while North Dakota recorded 48 boards.
Weber State is now 16-6 overall on the season and 8-3 in Big Sky Conference. WSU remains on the road to take on Northern Colorado Saturday at Noon.
