The Weber State men's and women's track and field teams competed at the BYU Robison Invitational this weekend in the second-to-last meet of the regular season.

MEN

The Wildcat men's team captured a title and posted several seasonal bests and some all-time top 10 performances.

Senior Jordan Cross won the title in the steeplechase with a time of 9:08.16. That time converts to 8:56.08 and now ranks as the best time in the Big Sky this season.

Brandon Yardley was third in the 800 meters with a personal best time of 1:52.00 and now ranks fifth in the conference this season.

Cody Glad took second in the 5,000 meters at 15:43.56 and Ryan Carlson had a personal record time of 14.65 in the 110 meter hurdles. Daunte Atkinson finished fifth in the 200 meters and had a personal best time of 21.48, which is the fifth-best in the Big Sky this season.

In the field events, Trey Deveraux had a career best mark of 16-01 in the pole vault to finish third in the event. That mark ranks as the sixth-best in Weber State history and is the second-best in the Big Sky this season.

Keaton Pace was fourth in the pole vault at 15-07 and is third best in the conference and the 10th best all-time.

Justin Herbert finished fourth in the hammer throw at 186-09.75.

Nathan Dunivan is red-shirting with the Wildcats this season but competing unattached, threw a mark of 186-10.50, which would be the best in Weber State history.

WOMEN

On the women's side, the Wildcats had several more seasonal bests and some all-time top 10 marks.

In the 100 meter hurdles, freshman Starlee Woodbury set a new WSU freshman record with a time of 13.75 to finish third overall. That mark is also the third best time in Weber State history. It is also the second best in the Big Sky this season.

Freshman Kate Sorensen finished fourth in the event at 14.03, which is the fourth-best in the Big Sky this season and ranks as the ninth best in WSU history.

Woodbury also finished second in the long jump with a mark of 19-02 and freshman Cidnee Davies was fourth at 18-04.50.

In the high jump, Abbi Brecht finished third overall with a mark of 5-09.75. That jump tied her seasonal best performance and is still ranked as the best in the conference this season. In addition, Eden Richards and Annie
Watts both jumped to 5-07.75, which is tied for the second-best in the conference this season.

Senior Michaella Hintze finished second in the 800 meters with a time of 2:09.41, which is the fourth best in the conference and just outside the Weber State all-time top 10.
