The Weber State University men's tennis tennis started the 2019 season off with a 6-1 loss to BYU Friday night.
"We were very rusty," said Director of Tennis Brad Ferreira. "I was very impressed with Junhao Ye and Bo-Han Li who played well. We have things to work on but overall it wasn't a bad way to start."
In doubles action, BYU picked up both the No. 2 and No. 3 spots to claim the doubles advantage point.
On the singles side WSU's lone point came from sophomore Bo-Han Li. He defeated Vinicius Nogueira in three sets with a score of 3-6, 6-1, 10-8.
The Wildcats are now 0-1 on the season and will travel next to Logan, Utah where they will take on the Utah State University Aggies on Sunday, January 13.
