Wildcats hit the road to take on the Bobcats and Griz

• The Weber State volleyball team continues the 2019 season with a pair of Big Sky matches. WSU will hit the road and take on Montana and Montana State.
• First serve for the Montana State match will be Oct. 12 at 7:00 p.m.

QUICK HITS
• Weber State currently holds an 11-6 overall record and are 2-4 in Big Sky play. Weber State is on a one match losing streak.
• Sam Schiess earned Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week for her stellar performance at the Missouri State Fall Invitational.
• WSU hosted the Wildcat Invitational to start the season and came away as tournament champions. There were three teams with a 2-1 record but the Wildcats overall set winning percentage gave them the tournament title.
• Weber State also came away wit the Missouri State Fall Invitiational tournament title going at a perfect 3-0. Rylin Roberts was named tournament MVP.
• The Wildcats were picked No. 2 in the Big Sky preseason polls.
• Head Coach Jeremiah Larsen is in his fifth season leading the Wildcats and brought back assistant coach Kayla Morgan and hired on a new assistant coach in Matt Kuelpman.
• Weber State brought back two First Team All-Conference players in Megan Gnieiting and Hannah DeYoung.
NATIONAL RANKINGS
• Weber State currently sits at No. 24 in the nation in team total blocks with 170.5 total on the year.
• WSU is also No. 19 in the nation in blocks per set averaging 2.66.
• Ashlyn Power is No. 46 in the nation in assists per set averaging 10.44.
DOUBLE UP
• Weber State has had three Wildcats record double-doubles.
• Ashlyn Power leads the way with seven double-doubles this season.
• Most recently against, Sac State Megan Gneiting had 14 kills and 13 digs and Ashlyn Power had 45 assists and 14 digs.
HITTING NEW HIGHS
• Weber State's Kennedy Williams and Dani Nay have been powerhouse killers. Both reaching new career highs in kills and attacks.
~ Against Idaho State, Nay breached the milestone against Idaho State with 45 attacks and 18 kills.
~ Against Idaho State, Williams reached new heights with 46 attacks and 19 kills.
