Wildcats set to host Portland State and Sac State

• The Weber State volleyball team continues the 2019 season with a pair of Big Sky matches. WSU will take on Portland State and Sacramento State.
• First serve for the Portland State match will be Oct. 10 at 7:00 p.m.

• Weber State currently holds a 10-5 record. Weber State is on a one match losing streak.
• Sam Schiess earned Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week for her stellar performance at the Missouri State Fall Invitational.
• WSU hosted the Wildcat Invitational to start the season and came away as tournament champions. There were three teams with a 2-1 record but the Wildcats overall set winning percentage gave them the tournament title.
• The Wildcats were picked No. 2 in the Big Sky preseason polls.

DOUBLE UP
• Weber State has had three Wildcats record double-doubles.
• Ashlyn Power leads the way with six double-doubles this season.
• Against Northern Arizona, WSU had three record double-doubles.
Gneiting had 12 kills and 14 digs, Roberts had 11 kills and 17 digs and Power had 42 assists and 10 digs.
• Most recently against, Idaho State Megan Gneiting had 11 kills and 13 digs while Ashlyn Power posted a 53 assists and 12 digs.
D-I-G WHAT'S THAT SPELL?
• Helena Khouri has recorded double digit digs 11 different times this season. She is currently on a nine match streak of recording double digit digs.
HITTING NEW HIGHS
• Weber State's Kennedy Williams and Dani Nay have been powerhouse killers. Both reaching new career highs in kills and attacks.
~ Against Idaho State, Nay breached the milestone against Idaho State with 45 attacks and 18 kills.
~ Against Idaho State, Williams reached new heights with 46 attacks and 19 kills.

• Portland State comes into the weekend with a 7-8 overall record and a 3-1 Big Sky record.
