Wildcats roll to 94-56 exhibition win

Five Wildcats scored in double figures as Weber State rolled to a 94-56 win over Western Colorado in an exhibition game Saturday afternoon at the Dee Events Center.

WSU jumped out to a 20-0 lead and never looked back. The 'Cats led 48-21 at halftime. WSU's lead was never less than 25 the rest of the game and the Wildcats led by as many as 40.

The Wildcats shot 54 percent from the field and held the Mountaineers to 32 percent shooting. WSU also knocked down eight 3-pointers and was 10 of 12 from the free throw line. The 'Cats had 41 rebounds, 17 assists and seven blocked shots.

Dima Zdor and Cody John led the Wildcats with 16 points each. Zdor added a game-high eight rebounds and had three blocked shots. John had a game-high seven assists.

Michal Kozak added 13 points on 4 of 6 shooting. Red shirt freshman Tim Fuller had 11 points, four rebounds and three blocked shots and Israel Barnes added 10 points.

The Wildcats open the 2019-20 season on Friday, Nov. 8 at Utah State. The home opener is set for Thursday, Nov. 14 against San Diego.
