Weber State senior Nathan Dunivan earned Second-Team All-America honors after finishing 10th overall in the men's discus Friday at the NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas.
Dunivan posted a career-best mark of 189 feet, 5 inches in the event. The mark improves his own school record in the event and also ranks as the 10th best in Big Sky history.
Dunivan also became the first Wildcat ever to earn All-America honors in the discus and just the second to ever earn the honor in a throwing event. He's also the first Wildcat to earn All-America since 2015.
The senior from Colorado Springs, Colorado, won Big Sky titles in the discus and the hammer throw this season, the first Wildcat to win both events in the same season.
Dunivan joins Tawnie Moore who also earned Second-Team honors at the NCAA Championships for finishing 11th in the women's 100-meter hurdles.
