Men's tennis dominates Colorado Mesa

OGDEN, UT - Weber State men's tennis brought their winning streak to three in-a-row on Friday afternoon with a 5-2 win over Colorado Mesa University at the Ogden Athletic Club.
"Competitive match against Colorado Mesa today," said head coach, Brad Ferreira. "Arthur and Sebastian continue to play great tennis and dominate their matches. Excited about the play from Cezary today as well."
In doubles action, the Wildcats swept all three matches. WSU duo Killian Sinclair and Bo-Han Li earned the first win, topping CMU's Albrechtsen and Nejm 6-2. Cezary Walkusz and Sebastian Buxman finished next in the no. 2 spot, beating the Mavericks' Landen and Howe 6-2 to secure the doubles point. Arthur Serafim and Brendan Barr finished off the doubles play 6-4 with a win against Bastide and Cure.
In singles play, Arthur Serafim started things off on a great note for the Wildcats by defeating Albrechtsen 6-2, 6-1. Sebastian Buxman was the next WSU player to come away with a victory as he defeated Cure 6-2, 6-1 in the no. 3 spot. Cezary Walkusz then gave Weber State their fourth point when he defeated CMU's Landen in the no. 4 spot, 6-3, 6-1.
Bo-Han Li played a long, exciting match and narrowly missed the three-set victory in the no. 2 spot. Brendan Barr earned the Wildcats' final point in the no. 5 spot, defeating Howe 6-4, 3-6, 10-8. The Mavericks were able to pick up their final point in the no. 6 spot when WSU's Killian Sinclair narrowly missed the victory. This final point brought the overall match score to 5-2 for the Wildcats.
Weber State (4-2 overall) will take on Brigham Young University this Saturday, February 1st at 5:30 pm in Provo, UT.
