MBB notes: Wildcats host Vikings Saturday night

  Weber State continues its homestand and begins the final stretch of the regular season as the Wildcats host Portland State on Leap Day Saturday night at the Dee Events Center. Saturday's game will begin at 7 p.m. and will be streamed online for free on Pluto TV 535 and WatchBigSky.com. WSU radio broadcast will be on 1430 KLO and kloradio.com. Steve Klauke and former Weber State standout and Big Sky MVP David Patten will call the action on the simulcast. Â

• Weber State is 11-16 overall and 7-9 in Big Sky play, currently eighth in the league standings with four games remaining. The 'Cats are coming off an 82-71 win over Southern Utah last week.Â
• Portland State is 15-14 overall and 9-8 in Big Sky play, following Thursday's 89-76 win at Idaho State. The Vikings have won three straight games heading into Saturday. Â
• Senior Cody John had 28 points in last Saturday's win over SUU. Â
• Senior Jerrick Harding is seventh in the nation in scoring at 22.5 points per game.Â
• This is just the third ever February 29th game at Weber State.Â
• PSU is third in the nation in offensive rebounds and leads the Big Sky in steals.Â
• Portland State beat Weber State 92-76 on Jan. 20 in Portland. Â
• WSU holds a 41-15 all-time series lead over Portland State and the Wildcats have won eight of the last 10 games in the series.Â
• In games in Ogden, WSU is 23-3 all-time but the Vikings won at the DEC last year.
• Saturday's game begins a stretch of four games in eight days to end the season.Â
