Women's track and field perform well at Air Force Invitational

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - The Weber State men's indoor track and field team had many good performances at the Air Force Invitational hosted by Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Many high-quality teams competed at the meet, including BYU, Air Force, SUU, Wyoming, California, UNLV, and Colorado.

In the women's 400 meter race, Kate Sorenson took second place with a time of 55.52. Sorenson also placed in the women's 60 meter hurdles, earning third with a time of 8.51 and a new personal best.

In the women's high jump, Eden Deveraux earned ninth place with a jump of 1-60. Cidnee Davies-Bohn earned ninth in the women's long jump, with a distance of 5-58.

Kapua Pulotu earned fourth place in the women's shot put, with a throw of 13.95m. Marissa Schmidt earned eighth place in the weight throw with a throw of 16.78. This is a new personal best for Schmidt. Sophie Herbert earned 12th with a throw of 15.97.

The Wildcats will host the Weber State Indoor Invitational on January 29-30 in Ogden, Utah.
