After two more sweeps this last weekend, the first place Weber State Wildcat Volleyball team looks to take its talent to the west coast where it will face what might be its toughest road trip of Big Sky Conference play.

With a 15-5 record, 10 wins and seven sweeps in a row, the Wildcats are undefeated and sitting high atop the Big Sky standings this season with a two-game lead over a surprising and resurgent Portland State team.

WEBER STATE

-Weber State hasn't lost a set of volleyball since a 3-2 come from behind victory over Montana State in Bozeman on September 30th.
-Serving has been the Wildcats' calling card this season. As a team, the 'Cats are averaging 2.22 service aces per set, which is good enough to be tied for second place in the entire nation.
-Weber State is led at the service line by superstar sophomore Dani Nay. Nay has served 52 aces this season and is the national leader in the category. She's averaging .71 service aces per set which ranks her in second place in the NCAA.
-The Wildcats have three of the top five ranked servers in the Big Sky Conference in Nay, Ashlyn Power (.42 aces per set, third in the Big Sky), and Rylin Adams (.38 aces per set, fifth in the Big Sky).
-This is the second consecutive season that the Wildcats have opened Big Sky play with a 10-0 record.
-The Big Sky Conference tournament, which will be held in Swenson Gym between November 18-20, takes the top eight teams from the conference regular season standings. Weber State is currently the only Big Sky team who has clinched a spot in the postseason.
-As a team, WSU currently leads the Big Sky in hitting percentage (.226), and opponent hitting percentage (.176).
-Statistically, the Wildcats are the second-best digging team in the conference and are averaging 15.95 digs per set.
-Hitting a sizzling .334, senior middle blocker Sam Schiess is currently second in the Big Sky in hitting percentage.
-Adams, the defending Big Sky MVP, currently leads the Big Sky Conference in kills (280), and kills per set (3.84).

SACRAMENTO STATE

-The Hornets hold a 39-15 advantage over Weber State in the overall series and a 20-4 record at home. The Wildcats are currently riding their longest winning streak ever over Sacramento State and have won four in a row.
-Sacramento State is playing some of its best volleyball of the season right now, coming off sweeps over Portland State, Northern Colorado, and Boise State in the last week.
-Senior Cianna Andrews was named Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week for her incredible performances against a tough trio of competition. She averaged 1.56 blocks per set, and opponents were limited to a .151 cumulative hitting percentage against the Hornets last week.
-In regard to the Hornet block, Sacramento State leads the Big Sky Conference in blocking with 2.54 blocks per set.
-Bridgette Smith is leading the Hornets in kills per set (3.23) and ranks seventh in the Big Sky in the category.

PORTLAND STATE

-The Vikings lead the overall series against the Wildcats with a 38-20 record, but Weber State has taken the last six matches from PSU.
-Viking Pavilion has become one of the harder places to play in the Big Sky Conference, and PSU has defended it well. The Vikings have an 8-2 record at home this year.
-Since the Vikings and Wildcats last squared off, Portland State has won eight of its last nine matches, including a four-set win over Northern Colorado.
-With the conference's leader in digs, Ellie Snook (5.43 digs per set), in their back row, the Vikings lead the conference in digs per set (16.70 digs per set) and are holding opponents to a .184 hitting percentage.
-Portland State packs a potent one-two punch on the pins with Makayla Lewis and Parker Webb who rank fifth and sixth in the conference in kills per set, respectively.
