Wildcats close out regular season Saturday at home

Weber State will host Northern Colorado at 1 p.m. at Stewart Stadium. WSU will honor 13 seniors prior to Saturday's game.
• Weber State is back home for the final regular season game of 2021 on Saturday. The Wildcats and Bears will kickoff at 1 p.m. at Stewart Stadium in the final home game of 2021. It will be Senior Day as the Wildcats honor 13 seniors on this year's team.
The game will be televised on ESPN+ and the ESPN app with radio coverage will be on 103.1 FM "The Wave". Tony Parks and Jerry Graybeal will call the action on ESPN+ and radio.

Senior Day for 13 Wildcats
Prior to Saturday's game Weber State will honor 13 seniors on this year's Wildcat squad. Many of this senior class has been a part of the best stretch of winning in Weber State history. The Wildcats have won four Big Sky titles over the last four seasons and made five straight FCS Playoff appearances, including the quarterfinals twice and the semifinals once.
The players being honored prior to Saturday's game are: Ben Bos, Creston Cooledge, Braxton Gunther, Dave Jones, Sherwin Lavaka, Conner Mortensen, Clay Moss, Jayden Palauni, Jared Schiess, Rashid Shaheed, Preston Smith, BJ Taufalele and Ty Whitworth.
The class includes several all-conference performers and a conference MVP. Shaheed, Smith and Whitworth have also earned All-American honors and Conner Mortensen was named Big Sky MVP. Bos, Lavaka, Moss, Schiess, Shaheed, Smith and Whitworth have all earned All-Big Sky honors, including several first team honors.
Bos, Jones, Mortensen, Moss, Palauni, Schiess, Shaheed, Smith and Whitworth have all played at least 45 games in their Weber State careers, with Jared Schiess holding the school record of 58 games.
Wildcats seeking winning season
Weber State is 5-5 overall and 4-3 in Big Sky play and seeking a winning record in the regular season. A win on Saturday would give Weber State a winning season for the seventh straight season under head coach Jay Hill.
Weber State sets records in shutout win at Southern Utah
Weber State is coming off an historic 62-0 shutout win at Southern Utah last Saturday. The Wildcats forced four turnovers in the first half and turned all four into touchdowns and jumped out to a 14-0 after the first quarter and a 45-0 lead at halftime.
The Wildcats dominated the game against the Thunderbirds with 480 total yards of offense and held Southern Utah to just 76 total yards. That's the fourth fewest yards allowed in a game in Weber State history and the second lowest against an FCS opponent. WSU had 220 yards rushing and held Southern Utah to just 15 yards rushing and 61 yards passing. The 'Cats also allowed just five SUU first downs and held the Thunderbirds to 1 of 12 on third down conversions.
It was Weber State's first shutout against an FCS opponent since 2007. The 62 points is tied for the ninth most points ever in a game.
