Wildcat women's basketball back home for Montana this week

• Weber State women's basketball returns to the Dee Events Center for two home games against Big Sky rival Montana this week.
• The Wildcats and Lady Griz will play Thursday night at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 12 p.m. at the Dee Events Center in Ogden. Both games will be streamed live on Pluto TV 1054 with live stats at WeberStateSports.com.
• The Wildcats are 0-13 overall and 0-10 in Big Sky play. Weber State is coming off two losses at Montana State last week.
• Individually, Kori Pentzer leads the Wildcats in scoring at 9.8 points per game. Pentzer also leads the Big Sky and is eighth in the nation in free throw percentage. She is 37 of 40 from the line this season for 92.5 percent.
• Daryn Hickok is averaging 9.5 points per game with Jadyn Matthews next at 9.4 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
• Montana comes into this weekend with an 8-7 overall record and a 5-5 mark in Big Sky play. The Lady Griz snapped a three-game losing streak last week with a 76-63 home win over Portland State on Saturday.
• Montana ranks 16th in the nation in free throw percentage at 78.1 percent. The Lady Griz also lead the Big Sky and are 23rd in the country in blocks at 5.2 per game. UM is also second in the conference in field goal percentage defense and rebounding and ranks third in assists and rebounding margin. Carmen Gfeller is third in the conference in scoring at 16 points per game and leads the league in field goal percentage at 56.5 percent.
• Montana holds a 71-14 all-time series lead over Weber State and the Lady Griz have won the last four games. In games in Ogden, Montana leads 30-9 all-time.
• Velaida Harris is in her third season as the head coach of at Weber State.
• After this weekend's games, the Wildcats are back on the road for two games at Northern Arizona next weekend. WSU will have the final home games of the season on Feb. 25 and Feb. 27 against Sacramento State.
