Wildcats beat Hornets in overtime for second-straight win

OGDEN - Five Wildcats scored in double figures as Weber State won its second-straight game with a 75-69 overtime win over Sacramento State Saturday afternoon at the Dee Events Center in the final home game of the season.Â

The Wildcats led by five with 1:33 to play when the Hornets scored the last five points to tie the game and force overtime.Â
Â
But in the extra period, it was all Weber State as the Wildcats scored the first six points and never looked back.Â
Â
The Wildcats shot 45 percent and held the Hornets to 31 percent shooting. Both teams hit nine 3-pointers but the Wildcats shot 56 percent from 3-point range, and held the Hornets to 28 percent. WSU also won the rebounding battle 39-32.Â

Daryn Hickok led the way with another strong game, scoring 25 points for the second-straight game. She also had seven rebounds and three steals. Emma Torbert and Aloma Solovi each aded 13 points and Torbert had seven rebounds and five assists.Â

Dominique Williams and Kori Pentzer each had 12 points. Williams led the team with eight rebounds.Â

Weber State closes out the regular season with two road games at Northern Colorado next Wednesday and Friday before the Big Sky Tournament.
